Picturistic Uno Findings

Anyway today 12-31-2012 I went to the Good Will Store and found an awesome thing...

A Frame!

it's cool. It says 100 Years of Magic. It opens up

to store a 4x6 picture that is surrounded by Mickey's and
has a commemorative pin (left) which is pretty cool.

the pin matches the front of the frame door... pretty cool.

I went to the other Good Will store where I found a glass that feature's the castle and this Disney
Uno game. I wouldn't have bought it if it was just the cards but it came with a light up thing that talks. The fireworks glow to show you what color to play. Too bad I don't have anybody to play with me.

More Disney Finds for December

December Finds Part 2

So it's December 28th, which means Christmas is over, but they still show Christmas/Holiday commericals on television. Christmas was okay. Anyway, I forgot to mention that I found some awesome Disney World Items earlier this month like a week or so ago before I got sick. Argh.

First up...
Donald Duck Bobble Head
I thought he was really cool.
He is not broken in any way which I thought was amazing. I am curious why people buy things they do at Disney World only to have it end up in Good Will. I am a Disney Fanatic, and won't be giving anything from Disney World to good will any time soon.

Second up is
The Magic Kingdom Board Game.
This board game was under $10.00 and everything was there surprisingly.Usually people donate games that are missing something or other but everything was still there. My mom and I played the other day and of course she won. One thing that gets on my nerves is that all the board games and game system games are based on Disneyland and not Disney World...very disappointing.

Thirdly but not least,
a figment plush.
Okay. So i didn't technically find this myself. My good BFF in Texas bought this for Christmas. Yes I think she found it at a good will by her place... Thank you Claudia for this awesome find. The awesome thing about it was that I don't have this plush. I have a similar one which is quite bigger then this plush and I think it says "Figment" on the shirt. Yey.

This is my last post for 2012. I will be going on a small vacation and won't be returning till either 1-2-2013 or 1-4-2013 but whenever, it will be 2013... I can't believe I have been posting since early 2012. Perhaps I will make it one year since I started... Wow.

Have a Happy and Safe New Years!

December Finds

December Finds

Wow. I was in shock today at the Good Will store. I went with little hope since not every time I find something Disney, which is good for my budget. But today I found two things...

A Figment Bank
from 1982

This was a last minute find even though I must have looked RIGHT at it a couple of times. It was in with the figurines on the 3rd shelf down. I was at the counter at check out when I decided "Okay, I will take a double look." Sometimes I'll walk around the store 2-3 times and on the 2nd or 3rd time I'll find something I over looked. I was in shock when I found this...and it was only $0.50 (fifty cents)

My 1st find of the day was a porcelain White Rabbit
from Disney's "Alice in Wonderland."

As you remember, I had found the cheshire cat and Alice a few months ago and now I'm ecstatic that I now have the set (i think). Yey. He is a bit frayed. A few area's on him, the paint is chipped but for 99 cents where can you go wrong.

Disney World Restaurants

Okay, now that I have enough time to talk about Disney World Restaurants, here it goes.
We went to Disney November 12-18th and we had 6 table service in which we ate at restaurants.

Here is my rating:

11-12-2012 ---- Raglan Road (DownTown Disney)
I give this place 4/5 stars. I had the Italiano Lambo which is pasta and lamb on top. They had put too much lamb and not enough pasta in this dish which makes it over whelming with lamb. For dessert I had the bread pudding which is A LOT so we brought it back to our room.

11-13-2012 ---- Yak and Yeti (Animal Kingdom)
I give this place 3/5 stars mostly because the food is soo rich here. We both had the duck which is about 1/2 a duck each. The fried won-tons for dessert were yummy, but we were stuffed before we got to them. Fried won-ton's with cream cheese filling is not good a day old. The only positive about this meal on this day was the fact I found $5.00 on the floor, which I spent on a souvenir.

11-14-2012 ---- Coral Reef (Epcot)
I give Coral Reef a 5/5. It was my favorite out of the trip. Their new Lobster pasta dish is to die for and the Chocolate Wave is extremely good. Another fact I like bout this restaurant this trip was the fact we were seated right next to the aquarium.

11-15-2012 ---- Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
I give this place a 0/5. It sucked. I tried at least 1 plate full of the main dinner and one to 2 plates of the desserts, especially the popular zebra domes that everyone raves about on disboards.com. I have no idea what they are raving about unless the chiefs put a bad plate out. I found them rather disgusting. Argh. By the time the meal was over we (my mom and I) were both in the ladies room. We will NOT be going back to this place again.

11-16-2012 ---- Via Napoli (Epcot)
This restaurant I give 4/5. They don't have a lot of things to choose from other then pizza and 3-4 pastas and parmigna. I had a pasta with chicken and peas which was okay. The dessert of zappoli's was the main good thing at this restaurant.

11-17-2012 --- Kona Cafe (Polynesian Hotel)
I give this restaurant a 4/5. I really like their duck but that was only after the main food thing that I wanted was no longer on the menu. :(. I had the kalua Tart for dessert which was GREAT. I would go back to this restaurant agin.

The next trip I want to go to "Be Our Guest" in the new Fantasyland Expansion.

Christmas and more

So I realized that I posted the newest blog entry into one of my other blogs. So I am now posting it here.

Yesterday, I went to the gw shop and found a floridian hotel mug but I did not get it. I then found a christmas ornament from epcot.

After walking around for 20 min I decided to look in the window display. For some reason I forgot to look at the window display earlier. By the window there was a cd rom brand new called "Disney World Explorer" brand new. :-)

So that is what I found yesterday. Last Saturday I found 2 mickey mouse candles in glass shaped as mickey.

November Finds

November Good Will Findings
Mickey and Minnie Plush

The day after I got back from Disney World I found two plushes.. A Minnie Mouse Irish Plush and a Mickey Mouse German Plush. It was a funny coincidence because my mom wouldn't let me buy a plush at Disney World because she said I find more stuff at the Good Will and I found these the day after we got back. They were both $2.99 and still have the tags on from the Parks.

The Vest on the Mickey Mouse opens up via velcro and shows a hidden mickey in the straps.

Disney World Trip 2012

I just got home from another Disney World Trip. During the next few days I'll be reviewing things like restaurants, parks, food, and what not. This blog entry will be focusing on the week I went.

I went from Nov 12-18th the week BEFORE Thanksgiving and AFTER the Food and Wine Festival. Last year I was able to walk right onto the rides w/ little or no wait. However this year was more crowded due to the new marathon they have added the weekend before. There were waits up to 50 minutes for some rides
and had to get fast passes for many of the rides.

I was a little disappointed in this trip due to the recent additions to Disney like the marathon and changes in rides and food. So I will probably start looking for another week to go. I just wish Disney would STOP adding new marathon and making every freaking month more crowded year after year.

Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean DS Game --- REVIEW

LEGO
Pirates of The Caribbean
DS Game Review

I bought this game while back. Not sure where. I think it was 5 Below.
I started playing it yesterday and it is so much fun. I haven't gotten too far because I keep missing stuff and ending up deleting my game and starting over. It's so much fun though. You get to play as many characters, so far I have gotten to play as Will Turner, another unknown man, Jack Sparrow, Angelica, and Gibbs (so far.) You play through all 4 films.

I think it's cute that when things break you can see small lego parts go flying. lol. Reminds
me of my child-hood days

My rating so far: 4.5/5 Stars

WDW Today Podcast

www.wdwtoday.com

One thing that I used to listen to like clock work was WDW Today Podcast, which has 4 podcasters who some are also bloggers: Matt Hochberg, Mike Newell, Mike Scopa and Len Testa.

If you are a fan of Disney World/Land books you'll recognize Len Testa from The *Unofficial? Guide book to Disney World. Mike Scopa also blogs at Allears.net.

I came across WDWToday when i was in college and first came across allears. Then I saw WDWToday and from them on I became a fan. They have podcasts Monday's Wednesdays and Fridays, and every Wednesday they answer listener's questions.

In my years of being a listener (and a fan), I have had my question answered 2-3 times and once called in during their live show. Only once because I'm not a huge fan of my own voice. lol. I'm 26 years old and sound like a child on record. Oy.

Anyway, if you are a Disney World Fan or new to Disney World then this podcast is for you!

Even More Success!!!

Even More Success!

So I went back Saturday to the GW in N. NJ and found a boat load of stuff. I found 4 Disney Stuff Characters right from the parks. One is a Donald Duck, goofy, Dopey, and a rare Chip from Rescue Rangers (Sorry no pics)

I also found 2 Disney World Frame Magnets...One is Mickey mouse, which is missing a back and another one is of Cinderella's Castle with Tinkerbell.

Also just wanted to share my new addition to my vinylmation collection. I got Minnie Mouse dressed up as a Witch. I got it for FREE off DisneyMovieRewards.com with points I saved up. Hehehe. I thought her hat would come off because most vinylmations with hats the hats usually come off, but not her's which i guess is a good thing so that I don't loose it. lol

Disney Universe Wii - A Review

So recently like 1 week or so ago I bought Disney Universe for the Nintendo Wii. I thought it would get bored fast just collecting gold (which are shaped as Mickey's) but it's more then that. You fight bad guys who get in your way, finish quests and collect Disney Costumes. True I only got to the 2nd world of Alice In Wonderland before deleting my saved game because truthfully I died soo many times, I ended up with a bad score. Then I kept forgetting to do stuff so more deleting of the saved game...lol. I play as Donald Duck but there are more costumes. I can't wait to get Stitch costume (and hopefully he's not the last guy to get).

I really love this game and  if you are a Disney fan, who loves fighting games and quests then this game is for you. It's awesome.

My Rating 5/5 Stars.

Another Successful Day

Today, October 18, 2012 I had another very successful day, even though truthfully I didn't think I'd find anything.

I found a Minnie Mouse statue (not pictured) in the display case for sale. I thought it was the cutest thing ever. I will try to upload a picture of it later. The lady behind the counter had to put it under the cash register.  It's their policy. I was hoping that I wouldn't forget about it like I did the other time I forgot to get a penguin pin and Abraham Lincoln keychain which I am still pouting over.

The 2nd find today was Mickey Ears.

My mom was like "These aren't Mickey Ears." I told her that they were and they were from the Animal Kingdom.

The 2nd Find was a Disney World Plate. It matches my hot plate I found earlier this year so I took a picture of them side by side.

Last but not least, I found a Mickey Mouse pepper Shaker.... I looked all over for the salt one but I guess they did not have it. I guess whoever owned the set either lost the other one or it broke.

Disney World Jackpot

JACKPOT!

Today I went to, two good wills, the first one I hit the mega load aka Jackpot of Disney World items from early 90's into the 20's...First I found Old plastic cups. There are 6 to a set from the Magic Kingdom, I only found 3.

Frontierland

Main Street

and Tomorrowland (I got 3 of this one)

I also found 3 mickey mouse cups

I was very shocked to see them. If anybody needs a Tomorrowland cup to finish your collection, I will do a trade for Adventureland and the last missing one which is Fantasyland.

The second set of 4 plastic cups I found was from
Chef Mickeys.

Not sure how old this one is. The other cups were from 1990.
last but not least, my last Disney World Item I bought was a 2000 Snowglobe

I went to another Good Will Store where I noticed they had 3 cups from the Disney Cruise Line (pictured below) but I decided against buying them for $0.99 each.

As you can also notice my key chain of the mickey mouse key chain I also got that at a good will store last year. :)

October Findings...So far

October Findings....So far

So it's October. Time to carve those pumpkins, decorate the house with spookiful things and don't forget the trick or treat candy? Or perhaps your a Halloween Scrooge and like to give out raisins. lol. Anyway, it's October...October 5th to be exact. I celebrated my 26 birthday...alone I might add. It's not fun when you don't have any friends to celebrate it but then again I do have friends...just not local.

Anyway, today I learned my lessson. Number 1 Rule of shopping good will:
#1. Always Buy the Item when you see it. Don't assume it will be there later when you sit in traffic
to go back and get it. That's what happened to me tonight. Argh. I am still punching myself in the head. Today I saw the coolest Mickey Mouse bag, but it had a scruff mark and it was $20.00. So I didn't buy it. However I did buy:

So when i did get home I realized I should have bought the bag. So I hopped in the car and went the fastest way around the main road with MAJOR traffic. I did sat in some traffic but probably not as bad as the main road. When I did get to the Good Will I almost got a ticket because I decided to drive down the side strip because it wasn't that far from the exit. I saw a cop and thank god he didn't give me a ticket.
But to my dismay the purse was not there.

I was upset but as I continued to walk around hoping that someone picked it up and moved it somewhere I came across a piece of luggage with Mickey Mouse on it and another awesome thing.

Tinkerbell

As you can see the tags are still on the luggage. Someone bought the luggage new from Sears for reduced price for $44.27. I clearly did NOT pay that. I paid $9.99 for it! it's pretty new but I think the removable toiletry bag is missing. But hey, other then that it's brand new!!! and I love my Tinkerbell too.

The Muppets

Today I went to the good will. I normally don't botherin the bag department but I ventured over there were I saw a kermit bag. At first I thought somebody sewed a kermit patch onto a black bag but when I looked inside the tag said "The Muppets." Its not an old bag but a bag I have never seen before. Wahoo!

Another Figment Find

Figment

Last week I found a figment Cup from 1982. It has the Dream Finder on it as well, from the first version of Journey Into Your Imagination Ride at Epcot. It also supports the words "Walt Disney World, Epcot Center" on one side.

Figment.

FIGMENT

Today, I went to a new Good Will, that just opened today. It was packed. Right before we got on line to cash out, I just happened to come across a Figment pencil. I found it on a shelf I looked at 3-4x and I know it was not there prior to the time I found it...
So here's the pencil. I got it for $0.99 where as if you bought it at Epcot it cost $4.00! I save $3. But it is missing the eraser. But who cares its figment!! (Figment was (and still is) my favorite character at Epcot.).

The pencil comes with a pencil sharpener that says "Epcot" on the side of it (not pictured).
My birthday is in a few weeks and one of my bestest friends got me something "figment" however I do
not know what that is... any more hints?

Good Will Finding(s)

Today I went to the Good Will Store and actually found two things Disney.

A Hard Hat, featuring Pooh and Mickey:

and a tin with christmas mickey. :)

Disney Findings

I was at 5 Below yesterday, and found this:

Mickey Mouse Tins.

They come with Que tips but once you either take out the que tips or use them it becomes
a great tin for either more que tips or something else such as spare change or mints.

A Great Disney WORLD Blog

A Great Disney World Blog

Tonight, I ventured out in search for other Disney World blogs and found one I quickly grew fond of. The website address:

What I like about this blog is all the photos and the things that he does and doesn't like at the parks.
I came upon one photo he took of a shelf in Epcot's Museum of a mug with figment on top.
Here's the picture:

Figment is one of my childhood's favorite characters and the ride used to be awesome until they changed it something more kiddish...and shall I say a bit "smelly." lol. If you have ridden this ride you will know what I mean. lol. I try to purchase something figmenty every time we go to Disney world but the past trips have been a bit disappointing as I couldn't find anything I liked.

But anyway, my point in showing you this picture? Notice the mug under neath the figment statue?
As you might recall I found 2 of these beautiful mugs at my local Good Will Store. I was surprised to see this mug in the closure here at the Epcot Museum...at least that's where I think this picture is taken at. Lol.

Hehehe.

The Avengers --- A review

The Avengers - Review

So last Thursday I decided to go to the movies but not sure what to see. The Avengers was still playing at the theater for only $5.00 so I thought what the heck. I am not your superhero fanatic. I did however see Iron Man 1 and 2 and I guess he's like my favorite. lol. But the Avenger's movie (2 hrs and 33 min) was really good. It is by Disney now, and will be coming to DVD/Blu Ray September 25, 2012. Will I get it? Probably.

I rate this movie 5/5

Who Needs a Coaster?

Today, September 4th I decided to head to the Good Will store (as usual). My hopes of finding stuff is 50/50 these days. Some days are good, while others are "eh." You never know what you will find. Well, anyway, today I find these Beauties:

I spotted them in the corner of my eye. They were in a cart with Christmas Decorations. Go Figure. All I saw was "World" so I decided to check it out.I was soo surprise with my find that I could not believe it. They only had 3.

I recently found out that they came in a box set of 4. So technically I am only missing 1. They were sold at Epcot Center in 1982, only 11 years after the initial opening of Epcot. I might go back tomorrow to see if they have the 4th one, but I won't count on it, since GW is basically a permanent garage sale, you never know if they only came in as 3 or if GW had misplaced one in the back.
